Tech

The National Telecommunications Public Company Limited (NT) has teamed up with Thailand's Election Commission (EC) to inspect a newly established 'War Room' aimed at supporting cybersecurity efforts for the upcoming 2026 parliamentary elections and referendums. NT's Managing Director, Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, welcomed EC member Narong Rukroi and his delegation to the cybersecurity monitoring and security center located in Chaeng Watthana. This center is responsible for ensuring that the upcoming elections are transparent, accurate, and credible. NT has been tasked by the EC to operate this center, which will closely monitor, inspect, and prevent cyber threats. The initiative includes managing network services, communication, and related information technology systems, thereby enabling the EC to efficiently detect and respond to any cyber incidents throughout the electoral process. The center operates around the clock utilizing globally recognized cybersecurity technologies to address potential anomalies that could affect critical data and systems during the elections.
